OUR STORY

Deep South Archery Club began in 2015, when the opportunity arose to purchase enough archery equipment to turn an idea into a new club.

Our first home was the old wool store on Fox Street in Invercargill. From those early beginnings, the club continued to grow and later moved to the Southland Hockey Association Hall, which remains our indoor home today.

In 2025, another major step forward came when the club secured the use of land at McRae Domain, giving us a permanent outdoor venue for our summer season and allowing us to continue developing the club.

Deep South has grown considerably since 2015, but that growth hasn't happened by accident. Good publicity, word of mouth, sound management and, most importantly, good people have all played a part.

What started with an opportunity to buy some archery equipment has grown into the club we have today — and we're still growing.
